The challenge: play five daily puzzles every day for one week, Monday to Sunday, and tick each one off when you have played it. Every game below is a free daily browser puzzle that a developer sent to SlowDen themselves, and each one gives everybody a new puzzle every day. There is no account, no leaderboard and no prize. Your ticks are kept in this browser only, so this is just a reason to come back tomorrow.
This week’s five are marked below. Ticking needs JavaScript; every game still works without it.
Cubewords · made by Space Inch
A daily crossword that wraps around a cube - solve one face and the answers carry over the edges onto the next. One new puzzle a day, free in the browser, with no download.
The Daily Leak · made by The Daily Leak team
A free daily browser word puzzle: uncover 10 redacted words in a fictional tabloid story using Scan and UV tools, then earn a newsroom rank. One shared puzzle every day; a typical solve takes about five minutes.
MultaVerba · made by Peter Hansen
A daily word game built around a 5×5 letter board. Every player gets the same board each day and searches for as many words as they can find.
The Daily Cryptic · made by The Daily Cryptic
One cryptic crossword clue a day, with hints if you get stuck and the answer revealed when you are ready. The Daily Cryptic is built for people learning the cryptic style as much as for solvers who already know it.
Nonograms.games · made by Nonograms.games
Free daily nonograms — picture logic puzzles where number clues tell you which squares to fill. Nonograms.games publishes an original puzzle each day, teaches the solving technique, and lets you build printable grids of your own.
Sudoku A Day · made by Sudoku A Day
A daily sudoku habit: one free online puzzle a day, plus printable PDF packs and strategy guides for every level. The developer describes the web puzzles as carrying no advertising of their own.
Histoguessr · made by Histoguessr
A free history trivia game where you guess the exact year a historical event happened. Histoguessr runs daily challenges alongside themed collections, and its interface is in Spanish.
Mahjong Jade · made by Mahjong Jade
Free Mahjong Solitaire with fifty levels, daily challenges and streak rewards. Mahjong Jade uses twelve board layouts — Turtle, Pagoda, Dragon, Lotus, Wall, Spiral, Bamboo, Bridge, Butterfly, Diamond, Fortress and more — and plays offline once loaded.
Each one was submitted to SlowDen by the developer who made it, and each card above names them. SlowDen did not make these games. A different five from the same list come up each week. More daily games, including ones that open on their developers’ own sites, are in Daily browser games.
