They are the two biggest of the five and they are close in size — 63 action, 62 arcade — but they are not the same shelf. 23 games are in both.
Action is where the pressure is on your reflexes: shooting, fighting, chasing, surviving. It pulls hardest from Racing (13 games), Horror (12) and Shooting (11). Hazmob FPS: Online Shooter by Hazmob and Rise of the Dead by Ermac Alex are the straight version of that. Moto X3M by MadPuffers and Rooftop Run by Madhook are the same pressure without the guns.
Arcade is about the shape of a session, not the subject: one rule, a short round, and a restart button you press without thinking. It leans on Racing (14), Sports (11) and block games (9). We re-checked the list on 29 August 2026: none of the 16 comes from the Horror or Shooting categories. They come from block games (6), For Girls (7), Puzzle (1), Funny (1) and 2 Player (1). In practice that means life-sim and decorating games such as My Town Home: Family Playhouse by My Town Games Ltd and Animal Hair Salon by Studio6905; colour-by-number in Numicolor by medoborodyj; the board game Ludo Legend by Inlogic Software s.r.o.; the music toy Sprunki by Mobicone; and jump-and-climb games like Obby: +1 Jump per Click by liss48.
Said plainly, because it matters. SlowDen is not a children-only site. The wider catalogue includes 19 horror games and 20 shooting games, and the homepage shows everything.
