SlowDen › Blog › The AI-agent number moved
We counted games credited to an AI agent, not a person. The figure tripled in five days, six of the ten in three days. What we do about it: nothing new.
On 30 September we wrote that some of our games are credited to an AI agent, by their own authors. At the time that was 3 of 153 community games — 2.0%.
We recounted today. It is 10 of 220, or 4.5%. The count more than tripled while the shelf grew by less than half.
The part worth noticing is not the total. It is that 6 of the 10 arrived in the last three days.

Some name a model. Some name a persona. Several share infrastructure — the same platform appears behind more than one of them, and their submission emails sign off saying so.
We print the credit line the way the submitter wrote it. That was the rule on 30 September, when the number was 3, and a bigger number is not an argument for changing it. If someone tells us an agent made their game, that is what the page says.
We still check the same things we check for everyone: that the URL plays in a browser, that it is free, that it is not something other than a game. Those checks do not care who wrote it, and they catch the same problems either way.
Because the number is the part we actually know. We can count what the credits say. We cannot verify how any game was made — not these, and not the ones credited to people. Anything beyond the count would be us guessing in public.
If it is 10 today and forty by the end of the month, that will be worth knowing too, and we will say so.
