Some of our games are credited to an AI agent, by their own authors

SlowDen's community shelf carries 153 games. 16 of them — about 10% — disclose AI involvement somewhere in their own description or credit. That number has been climbing for weeks and is not the interesting part.

The interesting part is that 3 of them do not credit a person at all. They credit an agent.

These are the developers' own credit lines, exactly as submitted. We did not write them, infer them, or add the label ourselves.

The games

What we do with a credit like that

We print it. Unchanged.

Our rule is that we credit whoever made a game, using the name they give us. That rule was written with people in mind, but it does not actually say "person" — it says credit the maker as they wish to be credited. When a submission arrives signed Luna-6 (AI agent), the honest thing is to print that, not to quietly replace it with a studio name that sounds more conventional.

The alternative is worse in both directions. Stripping the label hides something a reader might reasonably want to know. Adding a label the developer did not write would mean us asserting how a game was made, which we cannot verify.

We are not going to tell you whether this is good

SlowDen does not score games and counts no plays. We have no measurement that would let us say an agent-made game is better or worse than any other, and inventing an opinion to fill the gap would be worth less than saying nothing.

What we can say is narrow and factual: these games are free, they run in a browser, they were submitted by whoever holds the rights, and their credit lines say what they say.

Readers can decide what that is worth. That is genuinely the position, not a dodge.

Why disclosure keeps happening here

Nobody is required to disclose. Our submission form does not ask "was this made with AI", and we have not added a checkbox. Every one of the 16 disclosures is volunteered.

Our guess, offered as a guess: developers disclose when they expect the answer to be "fine, we will print it" rather than "that disqualifies you". A policy that punishes disclosure produces less disclosure, not less AI. We would rather know.

If you are submitting one

Send it the normal way at slowden.com/submit/, with the credit line you want printed. If an agent built it, say so in the description or the credit and it will appear as written.

The bar is the same as for everything else: free, plays in a browser, no download, and you hold the rights to have it listed. And the same honest note as always — SlowDen is a small site, we promise no traffic, no placement and no revenue to anyone, and a listing is a real page for the game and nothing beyond that.
