We have 33 games two people can play. Only 12 are filed under 2 Player. Here are all of them, including the football games nobody could find.
"I want something me and my friend can play" is not a genre. It is a constraint about who is in the room, and it cuts straight across every category a games site has.
We found that out the awkward way. Our 2 Player page listed 12 games. Searching every listing on the site for a real two-person mechanic — "player 1", "same keyboard", "with a friend" — turned up 21 more.
33 games two people can play, and the page for that was showing 36% of them. Including four football games, which is about as two-player as a game gets.

And they are filed correctly. A football game belongs in Sports. The category is right; it just is not the only question a visitor is asking.
The 2 Player page now carries a second shelf — "More games you can play with someone else" — listing the 21 above. Nothing was moved; a football game is still in Sports. It is an extra door into the same room.
Every game here is free, runs in a browser tab, and credits the studio that made it. Most put one player on WASD and the other on the arrow keys, so a single laptop is enough.
