Three games, one day, and the best game descriptions we have been sent

By Liza · SlowDen · Published 28 September 2026

Three games landed on SlowDen's community shelf on 2026-09-28, all from So Wicked Games (Donnie Reams). That happens occasionally. What does not happen is all three arriving with a description you could read aloud in four seconds and still know exactly what the game is.

Who: So Wicked Games (Donnie Reams). What: 3 games, submitted the same day. Cost: nothing, and no account. They sit on the community shelf alongside 136 games in total.

The descriptions, exactly as they were sent to us

We have not edited those. They arrived that way.

Why this is worth a post at all

Most game descriptions we receive are written defensively. They list features, name the engine, mention the number of levels, and carefully avoid claiming anything. You finish reading and still do not know what you would be doing with your hands.

“Beam up cows. Dodge fighter jets. Moo.” is eight words and you already know the verb, the obstacle and the tone. “Downhill racing on office chairs. HR has been notified.” tells you the sport, the equipment and the joke in nine. And “Fight off zombie shoppers with nothing but a barcode scanner.” sets a whole scene out of one incongruous object — the barcode scanner is doing an enormous amount of work in that sentence.

This is a craft thing and it is worth naming, because if you are about to submit a game anywhere, the one-line version is the part most people write last and least.

What we can and cannot tell you

We can tell you these are free, that they run in a browser, and what their developer says they are. We cannot tell you whether they are good. SlowDen does not score games and counts no plays, so any verdict here would be invented, and an invented verdict is worth less than none.

We also did not make, fund or commission them. They were submitted by the person who made them and they are credited to So Wicked Games (Donnie Reams). SlowDen Originals are a separate thing and are labelled separately.

If you are the one with three games sitting unplayed

Submitting to SlowDen is a form and a link: slowden.com/submit/. No fee, you keep your game, and you can send more than one.

Two honest notes. We promise no traffic, no placement and no revenue — a listing is a real page for the game and that is the entire offer. And spend a minute on your one-line description. The three above are the reason this post exists, and the games have not even been up a day.
