SlowDen

One developer, eleven games, and almost no two alike

By Liza · SlowDen · Published 27 September 2026

Most people who send a game to SlowDen send one game. ArcherLab has sent 11, which is more than any other developer on the community shelf, and the interesting part is not the number. It is that you would struggle to guess they came from the same person.

Who: ArcherLab, credited on 11 games here, two of them jointly as ArcherLab / Hyungyu Jang. What it costs: nothing, and there is no account on any of them. Where: the community shelf, alongside 126 games in total.

A catalogue that refuses to specialise

The usual shape of a prolific browser-game developer is a house style: six match-3 games, or eight idle clickers, or a dozen variations on one physics engine. It is a sensible way to work. You build the thing once and then you ship it eleven times.

This is not that. In 11 games there is a school-romance visual novel (Cupid), a 2D dungeon survival roguelike (Shadow Survival), online volleyball played — in the developer's own words — “1v1 to 4v4 online + bot practice” (Slime Volley), a cat-stacking physics merge game (Cat Tower), and a vertical zombie defense set in a ruined school hallway (School Undead Defense).

Those five do not share a genre, a loop, a control scheme or an audience. Whatever is being reused between them, it is not the design.

Three of the eleven are set in a school, and that is the actual through-line

If there is a signature here it is a place rather than a genre. Cupid is a school romance. Nevergrad (졸업하지 못한 교실) is a school mystery. School Undead Defense is a zombie defense in a school corridor. Same setting, three completely different things to do in it — a story about liking someone, a story about not knowing what happened, and a game about holding a hallway.

We are describing what is there, not reviewing it. SlowDen does not score games and counts no plays, so we have no basis for telling you whether any of these is good — only for telling you what they are.

One of them ships in seven languages, which almost nothing on this shelf does

Nevergrad (졸업하지 못한 교실)'s own description says it is “available in seven languages”. That is the developer's claim about their own game and we are repeating it as theirs, not verifying it — but it is worth pointing at, because it is rare here.

The overwhelming majority of browser games that arrive at SlowDen are English-only, and so is almost every page on this site. A developer who translates a five-day story into seven languages before putting it on a free portal has decided their audience is not where their language is. Judging by who actually reaches SlowDen, they are right to think that.

What SlowDen did and did not do here

We did not make, fund, commission, publish or endorse any of these games. They were submitted by the person who made them, they are credited to ArcherLab, and they sit on the community shelf next to 126 others. SlowDen Originals are a separate thing and are labelled as such.

What SlowDen did was accept them and give each one a page. That is the whole offer, and it is deliberately not dressed up as more: no traffic is promised, no placement is promised, and no revenue share is implied here. If you have made a browser game and you want it somewhere people can click it, you can send it the same way these eleven arrived.
