About Disco

Disco is a free daily puzzle that runs in your browser. Every day brings one artwork from a museum's open-access collection, cut into tiles and scrambled. Tap two tiles to swap them and rebuild the picture in as few moves as you can; the fewest possible is called par. When you solve it, the artwork's story is revealed and a famous piece of music plays, so a Rembrandt might arrive with Bach. Grids change through the week, with a bigger 5x5 on Sundays. Share a spoiler-free colour grid of how you did, keep your streak, and earn medals for coming back.

How to play Disco

Tap or click two tiles to swap them. Tiles with a green corner are in the right place and lock there. The goal is to rebuild the picture in as few swaps as possible. The fewest swaps needed is par, and you get par plus six swaps before the day is missed. Solve it to reveal the artwork's story and hear the song. Share your result as a colour grid with no spoilers.Hints and modes• A hint shows one swap that moves toward the solution. Using a hint means the solve cannot count as a Perfection.• Expert mode has no locks, no hints and no swap limit, and the picture stays grey until you solve it. Choose it before your first swap.• Your first-ever game has no swap limit, so nobody loses before learning the rules.Grid size by day: Sunday 5x5, Monday to Wednesday 3x3, Thursday to Saturday 4x4.
